There is a need to consider the role/position of a woman in society. Also, there is a need to understand the role of entrepreneurship in the same society. Generally, necessity-driven motives have played a crucial role in creating women entrepreneurs. However, there are enablers that may help transform these motives into opportunity-driven motives. Having said that, women are faced with specific obstacles that they have to be overcome in order to get access to the same opportunities as the opposite gender. Dhriiti Learning brings to you the Enablers and Barriers for women entrepreneurs as a two-part series where we talk about the challenges faced by prospective and existing women entrepreneurs in their pursuit of starting up.

    • Part 1: Enablers for women entrepreneurs - covers the inherent strength of the women that can be leveraged for entrepreneurship.
    • Part 2: Barriers for women entrepreneurs - covers barriers faced by women and how to manage them.
