This course aims to explore the need and scope of
women centric incubation programs and the prerequisites required for setting up
and the elements of a successful women centric incubation program.
This course has been developed to acknowledge
that the motivations, behaviours and support needs of women entrepreneurs might differ from that of entrepreneurs from other genders. This course is a foundational workshop oriented towards incubator teams who want to set up women centric
incubation programmes or deepen their existing programmes for women
entrepreneurs. The course helps the participants to understand the need and
visualize the scope for a women centric programme. It further touches upon key
elements of stakeholder engagement and allows the incubators to build their own
preparedness for running such programmes. The course allows the participants to
explore the gender perspective to the key elements of incubation programme
design. It ends with a self-assessment tool that forms the basis of the
advanced course in this series.
